Repeat Prescriptions

Patients on regular medication will require repeat prescriptions and for a safer and speedier service repeat prescriptions are now computerised. Please allow 48 hours for your repeat prescription to be processed. (Bank holidays and weekends not included).

We are not able to issue repeat prescriptions at weekends, on public holidays or out of normal surgery hours. Due to the large number of requests we process each day and the increased risk of making mistakes, we are also unable to take orders for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.

Requests can be submitted

  1. In person by coming to reception
  2. By post (remember to include a stamped self-addressed envelope, if you want the prescription posted back to yourself)
  3. By fax (01246 223398)
  4. By email to repeats.wheatbridge@nhs.net
  5. Or Online via Patient Access  https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/

If you are experiencing issues with Patient Access and need help please read the following page http://patient.uservoice.com/knowledgebase for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) as the practice will only be able to issue you with your login details and cannot provide support for how to use these services we also cannot guarantee that the Patient Access service will always be 100% functional as they are outside of control of the practice, the services are hosted securely to NHS and government standards and supplied by our medicals systems provider E-MIS. In these cases you can always choose to use another method to submit your repeat prescriptions or to book appointments.

If the Patient Access site is unavailable you can check http://www.emis-online.com/EmisAccessStatus.aspx for current service status (both of the links provided are available on the main Patient Access login page and are also provided by E-MIS.

Did you know you can now view a summary of your medical records online via Patient Access?

To activate the online medical records viewing functionality within Patient Access for new and existing users. Firstly you will need to come in to reception and ask for this to be activated, you must provide Photo ID for the receptionist to confirm your Identity for us to be able to do this and we cannot activate this service for this reason over the telephone. This is so that your confidential medical records are not accessed by anybody but the intended person - yourself.
